I'm having trouble exporting reports to Excel. This is a new error as I've been able to export in the past without any problems. To my knowledge, there have been no software/configuration changes, so I'm not sure what is causing the error.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi Jackson, I'm sorry for my delayed response, I was out on vacation last week.  I have seen that error come up before, and while it doesn't have any bearing on the successful export of the report, it is a bit of an annoyance.  What is happening is that when the MS Access 97 shell that Spectrum is written in exports the report to the newer versions of Excel, it is passing over an invalid character of some sort into the sheet name.  Excel, instead of rejecting the export, is just renaming the sheet so that the export works.  I'm going to bring this thread to the attention of our developers to see if something can be done to eliminate this message.  However, since it is not a hindrance to the actual operation and functionality of our software, I'm not sure that a correction will be made as all of our developmental resources are currently tied up with developing Spectrum NG.

I just got word back from my developers that it is an issue on Microsoft's end, and there's nothing that we can do about it.  However, no data is lost, it's just letting you know that the sheet name was invalid and that Excel renamed it.
