I am trying to add 4 Services into the Scheduler

  1. Cardio Orientation
  2. Life Fitness Circuit (Computerized)
  3. Life Fitness Circuit (Weight Plates)
  4. Free Weights

All of these use the same resource(Student Fitness Center) at the same time. These orientations are single session orientation i.e. anyone can register for a single class any day for 1 hour if it is available for that timing.

A list of timings was give to me. I used the 'Resource Availability' instead of 'Service Availibility' to give the available times because entering the same time availability 4 times would be harder compared to entering once as all have the same timings and resource.

Each Service will be allowed a max of 2 participants.

Now the problem that I am getting is that when I schedule one participant for 1PM to 2PM on one day (say 18th Jun) and want to add another participant I have to use the 'other participants' tab. Can I not get the same kind of prompt for registration as we do for first participant when we reister the second participant.

And When I schedule 2 participants for 'Cardio' from 1 to 2 PM on that day and want to add 1 participant to 'Free Wights' It says maximum participants reached and cannot register even though I have none registered for Free 'Weights'.. When I go from Cardio screen of scheduling to free weight scheduler it still shows the participant registered for the cardio.

I understand that it is being shown because all use the same resource but why isnt it allowing participants to register for a service in which no one has registered.

Temporarily I have made the max participants in each as 8 instead of 2 (i.e. 2 participants each servcie = 2*4 =8) but by this more than 2 will be enrolling for the service whichis not to be done..

What should I do so that I can register participants for services without clashing with other services?

Regards,

It sounds like you are misinterpreting some of the fields in the scheduler.  I'd recommend joining the Scheduler webinar next Wednesday afternoon, that should help answer this question for you.
