Hi,

I am a new student worker @ SIUe working with CSI Software at teh Campus Recreation Site.  I have a few doubts about installing and using the softwares. So I will be asking those doubts here.

The Doubt:

I tried to install the CSI club management software on a system @ SIUe. I see a lot of folders in CD.

CQLcorp,

 CQLprog,

 CQLsetup,

CSIcam,

 Drivers,

for citix user only,

scripts,

SQL Manual

I assume I need to use the CQL setup directory to install the CSI Clubmanagement software in the System.

I logged on to the system and installed the software and tried to run the "CSI Member Management" after connecting to the CSQLdata server. But when I logon using the Username and password I got an error message saying Cannot open/ read the Database because it is "Read only"

I am able to access the same using another USER on the same system but not able to work with teh management software using this X user. Why is this?

Hoping for an answer soon.

Regards,

Ranjeesh Yelamanchili

Hi Rajeesh,

I moved this thread to the Customers -> Spectrum folder.  On the CD there is a folder containing installation instructions for the workstation.  You actually needed to run Setup.exe in the CQLProg folder to install the application to the workstation.  You should then copy the latest program files from your server to the workstation as your CD might be outdated.  Prior to trying to run the program, you need to run Workgroup 97 in the Spectrum Management System program folder, and Join the SYSCSI.MDW workgroup located on your server.  If you have any more problems after this, please contact Tech Support at 800-247-3431 option 2 and they will gladly walk you through this process.

Thank U ...I think I got it now...coz it works.

I need to know some stuff about working of the Software and setting it up in different modes.By modes I mean the persmissions how they r set because I see Equipmenyt issue items in one system but cannot see the Equipment issue in the other System. I think it s something related to setings in the software, isnt it?

Ranjeesh

Ranjeesh,

I recommend that you call Tech Support at 800-247-3431 x2 or email them at techsupport@csisoftwareusa.com to resolve the equipment issue.  We will probably need to connect to your system and investigate.
